Why I'm running:

Having now served Yellowknifers for two terms as a city councillor and having contributed to a number of non-profit boards and volunteering for many local charities, I have reached a time in my life where I want to be involved in the process of effecting positive change. I believe I’m a person of integrity and I am running for the right reasons. I believe most people see me as authentic and a down to earth person, and I want the job not to serve myself but to solve problems with effective solutions and improve the lives of Northerners. As a resident of Yellowknife North I want to be the representative that protects my neighbour’s best interests. I have a passion for helping others and I believe I have the ability to improve lives and change minds, to change the way people think, and that’s why I believe I can help set our territory on the right course for a better future … a better way! My goal is to work toward and promote a government committed to diversity, integrity, transparency and collaboration. As a leader for positive change I will value inclusiveness, creative ideas, and I will champion environmental, social and fiscal responsibility.
